During East sophomore Gillian Dombrowski’s six a.m. routine practice, Dombrowski slowly warms up her horse Odessa before she makes the final jump over the hurdle. Hurdles are usually brought up to two to three feet in height and took Odessa 12 years to improve her skills from what they were.
