Q: What extracurriculars are you involved in?
A: Some extracurriculars I am involved in are National Honor Society, HOSA, and Asian American Association. I also like to go to the gym in my free time.
Q: What are your most memorable accomplishments?
A: My most memorable accomplishments would probably be winning tournaments with my sports teams or getting into National Honor Society and colleges.
Q: What was the highlight of your senior year so far?
A: The highlight of my senior year was definitely homecoming. From eating with a bunch of friends before the dance to having a great time at the dance and then ending the night sitting around a fire with those friends and talking, it was a great time!
Q: What was your favorite class you took in high school?
A: My favorite class I took in high school was Honors Anatomy and Physiology. It was a challenging class, but I found it very interesting and cool to look at the human body so in-depth.
Q: What teacher has had a positive influence on you and how?
A: Mrs. Gosky has had a positive impact on me by helping me with whatever I need and always being there when I have questions about Chemistry or National Honor Society.
Q: What colleges are you looking at and what are your top choices?
A: I applied to Miami, University of Cincinnati, University of Dayton, University of Kentucky, and The Ohio State University. My top choices are the University of Kentucky and The Ohio State University.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: My dream job is to be a pediatrician. I want to be a pediatrician because I want to help future generations be the best and healthiest people they can be.
Q: What majors are you interested in?
A: I am interested in science majors such as biology and chemistry.
Q: Did you do anything in high school to help you prepare for your major interest?
A: I took classes that were geared toward my major to help me prepare. I want to major in science, so to prepare, I took a lot of science classes such as AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and Honors Anatomy and Physiology. I also participated in a science-based extracurricular called HOSA and shadowed doctors to help me get real-world experience in their field.
Q: Where do you see yourself living when you are older?
A: I would love to live either in Tennessee or North Carolina when I get older. They both have good weather and beautiful scenery.
Q: Do you travel for the holidays?
A: Not really. All of my relatives live really close by, so that is the farthest I travel for the holidays.
Q: What is your favorite family tradition for the holidays?
A: My favorite family tradition for the holidays is hiding a little fake pickle in our Christmas tree. It is always a game about who can find it first and it is very challenging!
Q: What is your favorite weather?
A: My favorite weather is definitely sunny with a little breeze. It is perfect weather because the sunshine feels great, but there is also a little wind to keep you cool.
Q: Are you wishing for snow this holiday season? Why or why not?
A: I am definitely wishing for snow this Christmas because that is what truly makes Christmas perfect. Seeing the snow fall outside when you wake up is a beautiful feeling.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant?
A: My favorite restaurant would have to be Texas Roadhouse. I love the rolls and steak there.
Q: What would you do with a million dollars?
A: With a million dollars, I would set aside money for myself and my sister to go to college and then probably purchase a house. With the extra money, I would give half of it to charities, and the other half would be invested for later use.
Q: Do you have any secret talents? If not, what is a secret talent you wish you had?
A: One secret talent I wish I had was being able to juggle. I think it would be so cool to be able to juggle, and it would be a cool party trick to show off at times.
Q: What is your favorite clothing brand? Why?
A: My favorite clothing brand is definitely Nike. They have everything, from sweatshirts and sweatpants to athletic gear and shoes.
Q: What is your favorite food? Why?
A: My favorite food is steak. I love combining a medium steak with some steak sauce!
Q: What is your favorite way to spend your weekend?
A: My favorite way to spend a weekend would be to have some downtime to just chill and then some time to go to the gym and hang out with friends.
Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: My favorite childhood memory is probably going to Florida with my family. Down there, we made great memories, such as swimming in the ocean and going to Disney.
Q: What are three words that you would use to describe yourself?
A: Three words I would use to describe myself are hardworking, kind, and funny.
Q: What is your favorite vacation spot?
A: My favorite vacation spot was probably anywhere in Alaska. We went to Alaska last year, and the sights were unbelievable.
Q: What is your dream vacation spot?
A: My dream vacation spot would probably be Santorini, Greece. The water there looks beautiful, and the city is gorgeous.
Q: What advice would you give incoming seniors?
A: My advice to incoming seniors would be to make the most out of your year. It’s your last year before going off to college and having a lot more responsibilities. So make the most of it by going to all the events offered and having fun wherever you can.
