Q: What is your greatest achievement in gymnastics?
A: My greatest achievements would probably be coming back from injuries, just because in club, I never used to get injured. And then once I joined high school, I [started] doing bigger skills. Once I got injured, I tore three ligaments in my ankle, and my biggest achievement is probably the comeback and being able to still do what I can do without being scared.
Q: Who are your biggest supporters when you are at a meet?
A: It is definitely my friends and my teammates. One specifically would be my teammate, Allie Bucha. She goes to West. She also does gymnastics. She is my biggest supporter, one hundred percent.
Q: What is your favorite part about going to a meet?
A: I definitely feel like the energy at the meet, because not every team we go to has the same energy. I feel like me and my friends always try to keep the energy up.
Q: How do you mentally prepare for a meet?
A: I usually get ready with my teammates. My few teammates that I have from West, I get ready with them and we do each other’s hair. We listen to music and watch Netflix. Then once we get into the car, that’s when we start to lock in for the meet. Once we get there, it’s really hard to stay focused, because we usually are in a small gym to compete. I either have to keep my headphones in and stay focused, or keep talking to my teammates, to make sure everyone is going to have good energy at the meet.
