BECCA Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed- Champagne Pop $38 Campagne Pop

Champagne Pop is a Sephora exclusive created by Becca alongside YouTube beauty guru, Jaclyn Hill. To put the popularity of this item into perspective, within the first 20 minutes of it being on sale, 25,000 of the limited-edition color compacts were sold. On Sephora’s website, its color is described as “soft white gold with pinky peach undertones.”

This product is gorgeous, its shimmer catches the light making the face look luminous. It doesn’t look tacky or glittery, instead giving a more natural glow. The color of ‘champagne pop’ was designed to look good on every skin tone, the peach color acting as a neutralizer for yellow and pink undertones.

This was tested out by Allure, who teamed up with Becca makeup artist, Kerry Cole, to prove that this highlight can work with any skin tone. This swatching is useful especially for those purchasing online, because before spending a good chunk of money on one item it’s useful to see the product on a similar skintone. When wearing it on my tan and olive skin tone, the color sets in rather than having a drastic line of where the highlighter was applied. After adding a sheen, the gold tones shone through.

A little bit of this product goes a long way, it has a creamy consistency for a pressed powder, so only one swipe is needed to achieve a dewy look. It goes on very smoothly, and lasts the entire day without losing its pigment.

Highlighter is the icing on the cake, something to wear with a full face of makeup, but not to wear without a foundation base. However, it is something that could be worn to school with a more natural look or dressed up for a night out.

For makeup junkies it is worth the splurge; with the small amount needed to use and the actual size of the compact, it seems that this product will last for a while. But for those new to makeup or unwilling to spend so much, there are dupes, or similar cheaper products, of this color that are much less expensive.
